GMapFP is a Joomla extension allowing you to easily use Google Maps in your website. This component is natively compatible with Joomla 2.5 and 3,and for French and English.

This component was developed for the website of the Tourist Office of Chateauneuf-sur-Loire. Its initial purpose is to present tourist places and other (accommodation, restaurants, hotel, ...) on a map, and associated this geolocation with elements necessary to promote them as an article.

GMapFP was then made available to the Joomla community. And has greatly evolved to adapt to different needs (a new version almost every week). Which makes now a very complete tool and very powerful.

Features in version 9 of GMapFP :

Create as many places as you like and locate them on the map. Sort your place in a category tree in Joomla 2.5 or categories and groups of categories in Joomla 1.5. View all your places, a category or selecion of your choice (thanks to the plugin).

Configure the map according to your needs

You can link to a marker (a place), an article in Joomla 1 or external link, either directly or by an icon. This component also manages pagination, the filters for the user part and administration. The data are organized by categories and it is feasible to group the categories to better manage the display.

GMapFP has several display modes :

• Three major: All data, a category, a group of categories.
• Available in four display options: Map + Articles, Articles + map, Map only, only articles.
• A display mode, for a single item ID.
• A contact form.
• A simple interactive liste mode.
• A submission form places
• A places manager for front-end users.

Is also available, a CSS file editable to adjust your presentation, adaptation of the map display to the website language and complete setup of the plugin (map size, zoom, display route, traffic information, navigation bar, scale, choice of map type, ...)

Compatible with PHP 5 et 6.

This component is a Google map, but can also serve as presenting tourist attractions, restaurants and other.
